Already became a habit that every September we go somewhere and my birthday I spend away from home. This time was mountains. With daily hikes, skiing on lifts and in the evening tea on the balcony. And even with a walk on the longest suspended footbridge in the world(who signed me in instagram should definitely roll my eyes at this phrase:) Almost 2 weeks sweet, intoxicating mountain air turned me into an active tourist, but with a little side effect – in these 14 days I became totally Nicodyne, lazy reader. The rest + of the book is not yet compatible things for me. Nevertheless, the Sep pleased with a good book before one of them, I couldn’t resist even in the mountains.

Style

Emily Henderson

“Have you noticed that dogs, which I love, will eventually become like their owners? Someday your house will happen. When the interior harmonizes with the identity of the owner, miracles begin to happen.”

It’s not just a book for inspiration, and true fount of valuable information with illustrative examples and advice. No water, all of the case! Do you will find here thousands of techniques and tricks to design any interior, and will from time to time return to them and new to try in your home.

The book is quite hefty, at 300 pages, it includes 7 chapters + Notepad stylist with different Goodies and secrets. In the first Chapter there is a testthat will help determine your style. The questions are very interesting and unusual, although there were those that were introduced briefly in a stupor and I couldn’t determine the answer. In the end, my style: MINIMALISTIC. Yep, that’s me! By the way, stylistic range, prompt with any other style your.

I liked the fact that Emily focuses on the transformation of the interior without serious costs. No need to demolish walls, add new furniture and cardinally to change something. Because in order to create a unique space you can just take a fresh look at your home and breathe new life into it by making small changes.

Who will benefit from the book? Not only to practicing designers and decorators, but also to anyone who loves their home and the buzz of creating comfort, permutations and filling the interior with new parts. After reading the whole book as a bookmark, and stickers, so very highly recommend it!

100 ways to change a life. Part 2

Larissa Parfentyev

At first, I enthusiastically read the author’s column of Larissa’s blog Myth, eagerly waiting for each new publication. Then reread the first part of”100 ways to change life” (still to it from time to time back). And here in my hands was the second part of this book. To say I was glad is to say nothing. A new portion of inspirational stories and working methods, motivating to take my butt off the couch and start acting. In the book there is no step-by-step instructions on how to change your life, but after reading even a few chapters in my head something turned and begin to think about many things. A kind of magic pendel.

With great interest I read the section on purpose. Oh, if only 7-10 years ago, I knew that destiny does not exist as such, that’s just fake, I would much sooner come to what you are doing, and would spend less time thinking about finding yourself. Smile brilliant comparison of choice “his” business with the purchase of coat, each word, recognize themselves and realize how stupid it was to wait for a sign when I couldn’t decide. Friends, choose what you like and start practicing. Try one, second, third, until you find it. No one knows where exactly he will come. Just do what seems important right now.

Imagine your skill with a full glass of water. And every day practice – drop in it. No other way to fill the glass but to collect drops, does not exist.

Long after midnight
Ray Bradbury

Midnight is a door leading into the magical distance. It can hide the story of first love and stolen parrot Hemingway, samogorodskaia hot summer of evil in human form and winding the Bernard Shaw, Sunday in Dublin and holiday in Mexico at the foot of a terrible volcano. In these twenty-two stories — the quintessence of the Mature Bradbury, halfway from “the Golden apples of the Sun” to “Driving blind”.

The last effort to hold myself together so as not to bring books from Peter, but on the third day gave up and bought the “long after midnight”. Honestly, I didn’t have a clue what it was about, never read about her reviews and have never heard of its existence, took only because I love Bradbury, well, the name seemed somehow mysterious and enigmatic.

Only later, somewhere in the 25 pages, I realized that this is a collection of short stories. And that I can get acquainted with new to me Bradbury. I must admit, at first I was a bit disappointed as was expecting something in the style of “dandelion Wine” light, inspirational, enveloping its warmth. But then, after reading several stories, I was ecstatic! Each story is a small masterpiece, leaving behind a huge number of questions and guesses. I liked the fact that Bradbury does not give some kind of morality, everywhere you yourself dig up a hidden meaning, and explain all read differently. Not all stories are equally liked, but I certainly will remember a talking parrot Hemingway, blue bottle made by Martians, burning man and not coming out of the head of the question of the existence of such a thing as “genetic evil”, a touching story of love between those who ought to love each other, “Rust” eating away at our souls, the killing without killing…and so much more!

I’ll be you instead of the Pope. The story of a fraud
