A third of premium home buyers prefer a modern style when decorating apartments, according to a study by developer Regions Development. Another 27% choose minimalism/Scandinavian style, 20% – classical/neoclassical. Only 8% like art deco and 7% like hi-tech. Experts from the Elitnoe.ru portal decided to talk in more detail about the five most popular styles among buyers of premium segment apartments and their features.

Modern style

Modern design style reflects the latest trends and trends. Particular emphasis is placed on shapes and lines, and every detail is significant and in the spotlight. Particular attention is paid to open spaces and functionality. This style is also great for decorating public areas in the house. For example, in the Preobrazhenskaya Square residential complex from Regions Development, the lobby (pictured below) is divided into several functional zones. The dominant feature is the reception desk, which is continued by an area for communication with furniture in warm colors. The interior is decorated with champagne-colored metal elements, which are also used in the decoration of doors, elevators, chandeliers and navigation.

Minimalism and Scandinavian style

The main thing in minimalism is to create a simple and cozy space. Usually neutral colors are used, unnecessary decorations and shapes are absent, and the main attention is paid to light. There is an impression of calm and harmony. Thus, in the Dom 56 complex from Hals-Development, some of the apartments are rented out with decoration in the style of modern minimalism. The interior design from Bespoke Architects is presented in two solutions: Smart White (pictured below), based on a combination of white and beige shades, and Casual Gray with white and light gray shades.

Scandinavian style is distinguished by the fact that it creates a comfortable and calm atmosphere. Often it involves neutral tones, light wood decor, furniture made from organic materials (wool, linen, wood). Whereas in minimalism, furniture can be made of stainless steel and lacquered plastic. Functional items are often found: modular furniture storage systems designed to optimize space.

Classic and neoclassical

Classic is characterized by a refined approach to design, inspired by the architecture and interiors of past eras. For example, styles such as Baroque and Rococo. They are characterized by luxurious details, expressive shapes, patterns and rich materials, including marble, wood, silk and velvet. The furniture is made from high-quality wood species, decorated with carvings and gilding.

Neoclassicism combines classical elements with modern details. The basic features of classic style, such as elegance, are retained, but they are complemented by simpler lines, less luxurious finishing materials and more functional details. Thus, in the Red7 house from the Osnova Group of Companies, all apartments are rented out with finishing from Oleg Klodt’s design bureau or i29 studio. There are two styles, including laconic neoclassicism (pictured above), implemented in two colors: light and dark.

Art Deco

The name of the style literally translates as “applied art.” Art Deco is considered one of the most stylish interior design trends and represents aesthetics and luxury. It is distinguished by graceful lines, expensive materials and sophisticated details. For example, in the D’oro Mille complex from the IQ Estate company, you can optionally order finishing according to the project of the Glazov Design studio and the design studio of Alexander Batenkov. There are four styles in total, one of them is Art Deco (pictured below). It is designed with a neutral coloring in light and dark shades and with contrasting inserts in the color of precious stones: emerald, sapphire and ruby
