From the trip to Peter I have very vivid and fond memories. I have already shared his impressions about the exhibition St. Petersburg Design Week in 2017, but today I offer to go with me in a virtual tour of the shopping complex “Lanskoy”, where the real finishing materials I will talk about current color trends for the coming year.
But first a few words about this complex of St. Petersburg. First, it is a real Paradise for designers and anyone who makes or plans to make repairs. No need to ride around the city in search of suitable products, because everything you can find in one place. Here are so many branded stores that the number of beauty per square meter just rolls over. Secondly, the captivating very cozy and relaxed atmosphere, I got lost there for almost half day and I didn’t want to go anywhere.
Well, now let’s talk about color trends 2017-2018:
The recent Paris exhibition Maison&Objet has become a clear proof that the blue color will remain the trend in interior design. He was present in the design of virtually all stands. It’s hard not to notice how manufacturers of furniture and finishing materials actively use of blue shades in their new collections. Here’s what I liked from what he saw in the salons of “Lansky”. Please note, as cool crisp white blotches of blue refresh and make it more airy. As for me, this is a very winning color combination for the interior!
We all remember that hot juicy shade of Greenery was named color of the year but now the focus shifts to a deeper emerald green. In General, the favorite of this autumn – rich green color with blue note titled Shaded Spruce (shaded spruce). The muted, harmonious, inwardly rich, looking at it gives a sense of calm and peace. The tropics still hold the position. Want to have in your home the feeling of a hot summer all year round? Look at the fabrics and Wallpaper with banana leaves, vegetation, exotic birds or flowers. Basically they all contain shades of green. In the shop Room Decor noted bright tropical collection Palm Springs from the German factory “KT Exclusive”, and fell in love with the Wallpaper handmade famous brand ARTISTS GUILD series (Dream Forest).
In recent years, gray actively oppresses white and beige, and is unlikely to surrender its position in the coming years. As for me, it’s all the color out of time, which is always relevant. I love to use it in their projects, and noticed that more popular now warm shades of gray mixed with coffee/beige. It can be a fabric with an interesting texture or textile Wallpapers, which are particularly suitable for bedrooms and make it incredibly cozy. One of the trends 2017/2018 – Shine of metal that adds space glamour and pizzazz. It can be a furniture brass legs, pair of lamps with Golden shiny base, small accessories. If we are talking about the tile or Wallpaper, pay attention to models with small patches of gold or silver patterns, which will make the interior Shine. The main thing here is to know when to stop. If the picture is too active and attention-grabbing, highlight only one of the walls.
A classic color combination, proven. I love the versatility of this couple, because it can be easy to complement any other color. Particularly well, “black+white” will look in Scandinavian style, art Deco, simple, classic interiors, and minimalist modern.
Lately designers like to use spicy earth tones like terracotta, warm yellow, ochre, copper. For fall so do most things!:)
