Today, we continue our story about how we created the design of a private house in Kiev (the tour around the house you will find at this link).

The original layout of the house was almost perfect and completely satisfied customer, so to change we almost did not have. The house has a clear and convenient division into the common space and private area through glass doors in the kitchen, we find ourselves in a long l-shaped corridor leading to the bedrooms. The idea was to make the corridor in the spirit of the art gallery with natural oak flooring, white walls and large photos in the framework as “exhibits”. Did.)

At the end of the corridor is located the master bedroom with a private bathroom. This is the second room in the house, from which there is access to the patio. The bedroom is decorated in the spirit of the whole house – only natural materials and warm colours of the natural shades.

The bed is made to order from a company Hommie, window Seating, Interia, bedside tables and bench under the TV – made by local craftsmen according to our designs.

In the master bathroom, all attention is chained to two huge mirrors Restoration Hardware and a wide countertop made of quartz. Pedestal for washbasins are also made according to our drawings.

Before entering the bedroom there is a closet, hidden behind massive curtains. Managing curtains is carried out remotely by using the control panel on the wall. Shelving in the wardrobe designed by us. It is based on steel frame on which are mounted shelves and drawers with lighting.

The only room that has undergone a redevelopment, it’s Laundry. Originally it was 2 different small rooms – utility closet dark and narrow bathroom with a tiny window. We had planned to move the wall between these two rooms to make the bathroom fit full bath. But after the dismantling of the wall is a beautiful space that we decided to keep dividing it by partitions with glass and leaving half for the Laundry and the second full bathroom. The highlight was a large wardrobe with sliding barn doors that hid the washing machine and dryer, as well as some engineering systems.

The house also has a guest bedroom in dark colors and children’s.

A word about the doors, which can also be called the hallmark of the house. All interior doors are made of solid ash, which perfectly complements the black matte fittings. It should be noted that wood doors were very well selected – we wanted to show the beauty of the wood and use natural knots and cracks.
